This International Women’s Day reminds me that I am truly blessed to be surrounded by amazing, strong, principled women. From friends and family, to fellow women MPs to my union sisters, they inspire me everyday.

But still, if you are a woman you’re more likely to be paid less, valued less and be less safe. Society still dictates that the voice of a woman is worth less than a man’s.

I want to be part of the change that sees my daughter – and every woman – know the worth of her voice and that it is never less than anyone else’s. But equal.
