Last week, the Mosques of Luton decided as a collective to temporarily close their doors for the safety of the local Luton community due to the risk of spreading COVID-19. The same goes for churches, gurdwaras and synagogues who have also taken similar steps.
I understand how difficult these decisions are and vow to highlight the plight of faith organisations and charities in Parliament to ensure they are not overlooked by the Government under the current support plans offered, so they can continue their good work.
