I have received numerous messages from Luton South constituents who are currently stranded in Pakistan, after the Pakistani authorities suspended all international air travel into the country.

Stranded constituents have said that the Foreign Office have been slow to provide advice, and that is often outdated by the time it reaches them and that they are being asked to pay excessive prices for the very few commercial flights that are available.

I have therefore co-signed this letter to the Foreign Secretary asking for the government to provide charter flights, the same as were provided to the British Citizens stranded in Peru
