Rebecca Long-Bailey MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, commenting on Sutton Trust research on the impact of Covid-19 on university applicants, said:
“This is an understandably stressful time for those students due to start university in September.
“To ensure faith in this year’s grading system the Government must confirm the timetable for implementing the appeals system and confirm that it will be operational in time to ensure students who need it will not have to defer the next stage of their education.”
