Coronavirus update

I know many of you are worried and confused. There are still more questions than answers which we will all have to be patient whilst we work through but the Government’s new measures tasking us to stay at home must be taken seriously by ALL of us.

Please, please, Stay at home!

The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.

Only go outside for:

Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.

One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your
household.

In all events – Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.

Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.

Travelling to and from work, but only where you are a critical worker and it absolutely cannot be done from home.

Here is the guidance for those workers: https://bit.ly/2JbZGex

Every citizen must comply with these new measures. The relevant authorities, including the police, will be given the powers to enforce them – including through fines and dispersing gatherings.

Remember anyone can spread the virus – even if they don’t have symptoms. Keep your loved ones safe, keep your distance.
